my 11 year old's homemade gun

So my 11 year old advanced to the state science fair in san antonio with her homemade gun. It's a compressed air cannon. It will lauch a paint ball a 100 yards at 35psi. This thing is really cool. My wife and her made it from scratch with no help from me. Pretty proud dad!!!

One of my cousins built a potato gun at his granddad's machine shop out of steel pipe. It used dry ice and he had a pressure gauge mounted to it. It was a school science experiment. We found out it fit a beer can perfectly.

Must have launched this can 2 or 300 yards. I never got to build anything that cool when I was a kid.

2.5" ID pipe, FYI. A lot of people make DIY chalk rounds with plaster and chalk dust, packed in an empty beer can, and launch them out of 2.5" schedule 40 iron pipe black powder mortars.

The best thing I have found to shoot from a spud gun are BB's packed after the 'Tater.
