Looks like the ATF is on the move. Article is linking the fact Dorner had NFA items owned by a Trust. Of course they left off the facts like a) when he bought the items, was a LEO at the time and a signature would have came anyway? b) he would have passed any background check they gave him.

We wouldn't have to do that if we didn't think that the .gov was trying to out law possession, and private sales i.e. when the person that buys a firearm dies that particular weapon can not be owned by anyone else.
