  • A question

I don't think I've ever seen this question asked before but if there's a firearms manufacturer in your state can you walk into their business, fill out a 4470 and walk out with a gun, or is it a situation like liquor makers where they can't sell their product directly to the public.

I know that they have to go to a FFL, but since they're a licensed manufacturer would they be able to sell direct?

In order to manufacture the weapons they have to have the proper FFL anyway. Id assume that you could do that if they had the support documentation setup for it.

I have wondered this as well, but considering most other businesses don't sell direct to the public, I bet firearms manufacturers don't, either, even if it was legal. Thst is just an assumption, though.

Bond Arms is a local firearms manufacture and you can walk in and buy directly from them. So, the answer to your question is, yes. That is if the manufacture sells directly to the public though.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

It all depends on the manufacturer some will others just build the weapons and sell them to other suppliers/businesses.

If they are an 01/02 and an 07, yes they can.

01/02 enables them to sell/transfer. 07 is a manufacturers certification.

Most do not deal with transfers, but they could if they wanted to. My personal experience is most manufacturers will only sell to ffl/vendors and not individuals, no matter how many you order. Same goes with non regulated parts like uppers.

You are correct CJ. My buddy just received his 07. My 01/02 should be in shortly.
