I was in a Laredo Wal mart in January and I posted here who wanted ammo with a 10% fee for bringing it to DFW. Not one person answered.

3 Laredo Wal Marts were FULLY stocked in .223 and 7.62 tula ammo.

I bought two UMC 223 boxes for myself.

No one else wanted, but yes it is easier once you get out of the big city.

Not always - I've been to WalMart stores in Vernon, Stamford, Ballinger, Big Spring, Midland, both Abilene stores and Sweetwater. Asking for 223, 22lr, 308, etc... normally just gets a chuckle from the gun bar clerks. It's really just a matter of timing.

Also the Academy stores in the towns that have 'em
