Misconceptions. The same thing is thought about every other "not Texas" part of the country.

This would be a great state slogan! Just add in Taxes are low and Freedom still abounds.

This is something that should be started and followed thru with on a weekly basis. Start with the major players in gun and gun accessories market and work down to others as well. Any companies in non-friendly gun states(like Colorado and up in the NorthEast) should be targeted for relocation incentive packages.

We should start writing letters to Perry, Cruz and anyone/everyone in the Texas Legislature to try get these companies to Texas.

When I just googled Magpul, legislatures from South Carolina and West Virgina are thinking and trying to do the same thing. Also looks like Perry already reached out to Magpul as well about coming to Texas.

Texas needs to pass a Firearms Freedom Act to make it more enticing for firearms companies to make the move

Gov. Hickenlooper has announced that he will sign HB1224 on Wednesday. Magpul stated they will begin their transition out of Colorado almost immediately. Magazine production will move first and they expect the first free state magazine to be made within 30 days of Hickenlooper's signature on the new law. They are invisioning a multi-state operation as a result of the move and have already made initial contacts with various state's representatives. I can only hope that one of them is Texas. Please say Texas! Their headquarters is going to be moved but they will still keep some manufacturing in Colorado from what I can see.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

MAgpul had said they would leave a presence in CO at least through the next state election as a reminder.

The advantage that other southern states have over Texas is that some of them let firms keep their workers' withheld state taxes for up to 25 years. Currently, 18 states allow this practice.

I monitor Magpul on FB and they've already made it known that they are going to try and be a multi-state operation now. One of the Carolinas was briefly mentioned.

Can't really blame them and it really sucks for their employees.

Why would Magpul even keep part of their operation in Colorado? They need to move their headquarters out ASAP so their sales numbers dont give Colorado any tax revenues.
