  • Beretta PX4 Compact

    Hi guys,

I'm looking at buying a new Beretta PX4 Compact .40. Does anyone here own one and care to offer an opinion? Here are a few questions:

    1. How is recoil? Do you think a small Japanese woman can handle it? Would the 9mm be better for her?

    2. Have you had any problems at all? Broken parts, jamming, etc.

That and any other information you care to offer. I'm taking the wife to Eagle gun range to try it out next week..

    Thanks in advance..

I haven't done a lot of research on that one, but I would also consider the sig p938. I've heard nothing but good things about it, and very concealable as well. Edit, it is 9mm not 40.

I don't own one of those, but I do often carry a Beretta 9000s in 9mm which I think is pretty similar in dimentions. I've never heard complaints about the .40 model of the 9000 series having too much recoil. I also carry a pt145 and the recoil on that is more manageable shooting a 185 grain instead of a 230. Beretta's are quality. The 9000s I've had for more than 5 years, at least 500 rounds if not more through it and never has it misfired or had an FTF problem.
