  • Any 3rd gen S&W fans?

Picked up a nice looking 1006 from the LGS today. I really prefer the feel of the gun in my hand over my Witness, but the trigger is absolute shit. I mean out of all the guns I own, the only worse one is my 91/30. Its BAD. Specifically the SA pull, very creepy and heavy. Anyone have suggestions as to where to send it for work? I've heard Novak or Smith's PC so far and wasn't sure if there were any other 3rd gen experts out there worth calling.

sorry for the blurry cell phone pic

Those things are built like a tank. A very underrated handgun in my book.

I noticed Cabela's Allen had a bunch of used 9mm's for $449. I think they were 5906's. I've considered buying one of those 1006's before. Let us know how your trigger work goes.

This. I've been real tempted to get one of those used 5906's. They also had one 6906. If only the wife thought we needed it. :-(

          I really like the 3rd gen S&W's.

5906 full size and 6906 compact? Just a wild guess. I'll give cylinder and slide a call!

If you can get Wayne Novak to do the work, he's worth sending it to, since he designed the gun.

Buddy of mine picked up a blued chiefs special 9mm today for me, as I'm out of town, but I thought it was a cool little gun and decided to try it as a carry gun.
