I carried a stainless S&W 4006 for almost 16 years as my duty gun.




I had to retire it last year when the dept took it off the authorized list (they are saving money by not having to have qualified S&W armorers and carry spare S&W parts on hand).

But in the 16 years I had the gun, the ONLY FTF problem I had was when the range went cheap and bought a pallet of Blazer (aluminum cased) round. My S&W wasn't the only gun that didn't like that crap. The range ended up trading most of the pallet for brass cased ammo.

Its in the photo on the right column. The only guns missing are the Five-seveN and a nagant revolver. I took the photo and then realized I left them both in the safe door, lol.

And I like those Smith autos. Very understated and its a shame you can't carry yours on the job anymore.
