Yeah Im for it because I like that if I do happen to show my CH, I dont want to be breaking the law. I wouldnt want to just have a gun on my hip out in the open, but under my untucked shirt or jacket, sure.

Visit ODMP.com and look at all the officers that were targets.
      Military members are frequently targeted.

If you have someone set on evil, eliminating the opposition is easy when you identify yourself as a target.

If I were bent on killing, is take out anyone I knew was carrying and confiscate thier guns and ammo.

Exactly the reason I think open carry is reckless. You could have saved people but you made yourself a target.

I think it's awesome to have that option. I still haven't seen one person actually doing it since Oklahoma passed the bill up here.

I've actually responded to a couple of "person with weapon" calls that turned out to be CHL'ers that were printing. A little on scene education and the problem was solved without any paperwork being generated.

Same here but still would conceal more often than not. I would like the option though as I could carry my gun with light easily to movies and such

Do you know of any officers that have persecuted people like that?

And I'm not surprised in the least that you did not.

Ill have to look when I get time. I personally feel it could go either way. Bad people are bad people.

I've talked to a few judges who would no PC someone on a arrest because they were printing.

I agree with what most people are saying. I wouldn't open carry, it would just be nice to not worry about printing or flashing. It would make me feel a little better about wearing an owb holster with a button up over it.

Does anyone have a legitimate argument for open carry? I don't think I've ever heard one.

I remember a thread concerning this on the old board, and I'm OK with it, but have some concerns. One scenario that worries me is a perp just flat overpowering someone (an older person?), and taking his gun away from him.

I think this is a matter of perspective and personal preference. I know you'll probably disagree. I'm on the bandwagon with just wanting the freedom and slack from printing. However, "because I want to" is a legitimate argument to me.

There have been a few threads that were at least derailed and went on this topic. The general consensus is what you're seeing here. Some on one side saying it is stupid, some on the other but a lot of folks in the middle - but would prefer it to be legal as opposed to illegal and their reasons vary.

That's another good point, any crazy mofo can just walk up and take your gun.

To many what if scenarios. An older person with a chl could also be over taken.
