Just ruined my damned day!
Have a Browning BPS 12 gauge, on which the hammer spring pin (B1221086) is evidently worn out. The part lists at $2.25, and they won't sell it to me. It's "restricted". Just called another supplier and they can't get it either. Looks like it is a known wear item, your gun is useless without it, and the only way to get it fixed is to mail it in and pay them $50 an hour. So now I get to mail it in, and prepare for an unknown repair amount, on something that I can fix myself for less than ten bucks and 30 minutes of work.
The part is toast as on each side there is a 'c' shaped indent upon which the hammer springs rest, with the rod going through the center of the cutout. The ends of the 'c' wear off, allowing the spring to just slide off.
Part #24 on this schematic.
This is fucking bullshit! My rant for the day...
