What in the world does anyone need an assault weapon for anyway?
Replaced "assault weapon" with "high powered car" "fishing boat" "pocket knife" "box cutter" etc.

Just because you don't like it or don't understand it doesn't mean that other people should be kept from having it.

I just don't understand this fucking mentality that just because I don't want/like/desire something I think you shouldn't have it either.

Considering Obama just said today that he will use Executive Orders on gun control, they will stay the same or go up, again.
I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.

I'm speaking in terms of ARs not being banned per the article...

Mags will continue to stay high. I think a magazine capacity restriction has a real shot of going through even if it makes no sense whatsoever. Considering NY thinks going from 10 rounds to 7 rounds will make a difference, we are not dealing with entirely rational individuals.

In the eyes of many, magazine capacity restrictions is "common sense legislation".

Federal level = ARs are safe IMO
State level = many states are going to be FUBARed

Why would anyone buy an illegal mag? I'd rather have 3 10rnd mags than 3 pinned or blocked 30 rndrs.

And if many states are making the guns illegal...that drives demand down...

The last ban didn't make them illegal to own; it made them illegal to manufacture.

Nope, it creates an acutely highly inflated market for the time being. People will rush to get any assault rifle before the ban makes them illegal, after which point all the rifles in that state will most likely creep up a little more in price then level off at a pretty high price.

Look at states like NY where they already have restrictions. Items there that are in the state boundaries already fetch a very handsome price because no one will ship to them and they're stuck with what's there.

Not everybody buying up all your ammo and all your guns is doing it to turn a profit.

Don't try and pull that shit. How many threads have there been about people crying of gouging lately?

I'm not gonna hold my breath. Don't trust anything, especially some odd-ball liberal leaning site, until the Administration actually announced something.
