Forearm grip from Mossberg 500 fits the 88?

Got me a Mossberg 88 today and I want to put the forearm grip from a Mossberg 500 on it. Is that going to be something I can do without ordering extra parts? Or do I just need the grip off the 500 itself?

believe you will need this and the action tube nut. The 88 has a one piece forearm with the action bars pinned to it where the 500 has the action bars on the tube. They may have changed this at some point though

^ this is correct. I've got a Maverick( call it what it is) 88 and that's what the deal is. It's a bigger Pita than its worth.
