IIRC, the law states that it is illegal to carry at church or other places of worship, but then states that Sub-section is null if they don't have a 30.06 posted.

I believe technically you can if its not posted with the appropriate 30.06 sign.
Some in the more rural areas have talked to their priest/pastor and they knowingly carry with the approval of the church, but I wouldn't ever advertise it.

          Concealed means concealed.

FWIW, several people I know that are employees of a church carry. In Texas it is dictated by signeage (like Hotrod66stang) says, but some overzealous pastors may try to ensure that their flock is protected from safety and vulnerable to the wolves in the name of being PC. Your mileage may vary.

Before we moved, I carried (legally) to church all the time. Besides me,the pastor was the only person that really knew. It was welcomed.

I just looked it up to be sure I wasn't giving misinformation. I believe it was section 46.035, and it states that it is illegal to carry in hospitals/nursing homes, amusement parks, and places of worship. If you scroll down to the end of that section, it then states that it is legal to carry in those places if there isn't 30.06 signage. As Don said, YMMV.

Church would probably be the only one of those I would attempt to carry. I know everyone got "wanded" the last time I went to an amusement park. From there, you'd be explaining the law to a teenager, then a manager. Then, more than likely, taking your gun back to sit in the car all day.

I got "wanded" at the State Fair, then showed my CHL and pointed at my weapon, and cruised right in.

You're allowed to carry at the state fair. But not into the cotton bowl.
