I bought an all black one last month. I like it but its a snappy little bastard. The extended magazine helped with not pinching my hand on recoil. Its accurate enough and really easy to conceal for me. I've put about 500 rounds thru mine but it doesn't like cheap steel ammo at all. I had a few misfires on it. Spits out brass shit in all flavors all day long.

I bought mine at a rinky dink gun shop in Las Vegas for $40...they only had one but he didn't leave me with the impression they were hard to come by?

Pearce makes a pinky extension. $12 on eBay. The extended mag adds like an inch.

Mine conceals really well in a nice eBay faux crossbreed holster.

Springfield must have done a very low volume of extended magazines for the first run of production, just to see if the pistol was going to be that popular, and if extended magazines would really sell. You're right, I just checked 10 different places online and everyone is on backorder.

I only found one 7 round extended mag at the show today. It was $55!!!

I walked around to damn near every vendor looking for one too. Oh well.
