When I mailed Joe Barton about NFA wait times I got a specific reply back which he signed wasn't auto penned). As well as about 5 other letters with his correspondence to the ATF director, which I received a signed letter back from as well. So, I suppose if it's a specific enough question they are interested in, they do actually respond outside of a template.

Joe Barton = Bad ass and supporter of 2nd amendment and constitution. She asked me if that guaranteed my vote for him in the next election. I said you have my guarantee. I also emailed all the reps and senators of the state I will be living in (Oregon) since they are pretty much all dems and I told them that if they like their job they will stay true to the constitution.
