I have a Kershaw 1660ST, LOVE this knife. Made in USA, and you can find it under $50 if you shop around.

I had a Leek before I made my switch to Benchmade, and I really liked that knife

I didn't realize that it was also known as a Leek and others had already posted it. It's a great knife.

I just ordered a Kershaw Volt II a couple of days ago and am looking forward to getting it (will be here Wed). It has pretty good reviews and seems to open very well.

Matt - What's the offense on carrying an auto opening knife?

I was actually looking for an auto before deciding on that Kershaw. I assume a Mr. Meaner, but what class and any idea on penalty?

Auto or assisted ? Assisted is spring loaded but direct contact with the blade is made for the spring to take over and open it . No need for true automatics anymore .

I've got this one and I love it. I need to sharpen it because some former coworkers thought it necessary to cut against metal with it, but before then it was sharp as a razor.

I plan to get an assisted open. Chili, be sure to let me know what you think of that Kershaw. I plan to order something by the end of the week

I had that knife for at-least 5 yrs , mine was the the FD 1* version with a tanto point . I'd put it up there with my benchmade knives any day . Until the liner lock started not holding .
That was a very bad day for me.
