  • Best online options for an M1A

Looking to pick up a Springfield Armory MA9226 M1A before our government gets to total stupid. Who are the best/most reputable online retailers and do you think I will be able to find one before any bans are inacted? Hopefully I am not too late to the party on this one.

Looks like the only place I can find them is on Gunbroker.

I saw a few on Texas gun trader for reasonable prices. Hope I can free up some extra cash and pick one up myself, that is one of the rifles I will be pissed about not owning.

There's already a thread about preferred online retailers. That's the core of the question, not your attempt to brag on your intentions to buy a loaded model, which is the only reason you posted the model number.

Not really but thanks. With the amount of money and number of guns people on this site show off all the time I doubt anyone is impressed that I want a certain model of gun, nor do I intend for them to be.

Me too. I've wanted one for a long time.

Seems like the only places that still ahve them are private sales or the auction sites. I want one but am not willing to pay double MSRP for one, thanks for the info guys I will keep looking and let you know what I find. Hopefully after this first mad rush things will calm down and they will be instock again at reasonable pricing before any ban is instituted.

You know. Theoretically, you could get a parts kit, or a barreled action from a place like Fulton Armory. You can get a pretty high quality unit built that way.

They have pretty swanky stuff. There are other people out there with semi-custom barreled actions, too. The sad thing is, the days of piecing one together on the cheap are long gone.

Were we alive when this could be done?
