I have had several 220's over the years. I am now down to one and rarely shoot it. I suggest using gun grease, not just oil when re-assembling one. I also spent a lot of time cleaning up and polishing the rail/base interface. There is a lot of surface area to cause friction. I also suggest the SRT triggers from Sig. It doesn't change the pull or geometry, it is just thinner so your finger doesn't have to extend as far to reset the trigger. Buy off brand 10rnd mags....cheaper. Hogue rubber grips are also a good recommendation.

    Great guns!
its not an older gun maybe put 30 rounds through it. Just sits in the same. I tried using it at the pistol classes and other shooting I do and just FTE constantly. I do however just run regular gun oil in it. Its just a safe queen I guess. its the p250 2sum

Detail strip it & clean it, all new springs including the mag spring, new grip screws, and a little range time. I have a few 220s and like them. X2 on using grease.

The P220 and P250 are completely different guns. The classic Sig P series guns (220,226,229,239) are dead nuts reliable.
