  • Sig P220

New toy. Picked this up yesterday. A little wear on the end of the barrel, but not abused at all. Clean/bright bore. Does anyone own one? What mods are useful to this gun?
Got rid of all my Glocks, going H&K and Sig. Glocks are still ok, but just wanted a little bit higher end weapon.

Very nice. I would do night sights and hogue grips. That's what I did to my P226.

Sigs need Hogue rubber grips. Makes a world of difference.

i shot the sig p220, XD45 and glock 21.. ended up with the XD.. the glock didnt feel right.. was to thick. The P220 shot well but the Xd45 just felt better in my hand...

No matter how fast light travels it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.

                    Looks like my duty gun.

I've had it for over a year and no problems yet.

That's what happens when you limp wrist a 45

Went to the range. JHP,FMJ feed nice. For an older gun, no ftf,or fte whatsoever.

Definitely will put hogue grips on it. It is a single stack, but I like the feel of how

slim the gun is for a full frame .45. The angle of the grip to fireing line feels

better than any of my glocks used to.

Just my humble and inexperienced opinion.

you are limp wristing it. Sig's bore center is REALLY high compared to a glock or XD and you really have to keep the gun stable or they will FTE constantly. If it's an older gun, replace the recoil spring.

I have had several 220's over the years. I am now down to one and rarely shoot it. I suggest using gun grease, not just oil when re-assembling one. I also spent a lot of time cleaning up and polishing the rail/base interface. There is a lot of surface area to cause friction. I also suggest the SRT triggers from Sig. It doesn't change the pull or geometry, it is just thinner so your finger doesn't have to extend as far to reset the trigger. Buy off brand 10rnd mags....cheaper. Hogue rubber grips are also a good recommendation.

                              Great guns!
