There is already a huge misconseption about suppressors even in the pro-gun culture. Some ranges won't even let you shoot them. I guess they think that anyone who owns a suppressor thinks they are a hitman or something. I just like to shoot my .22lr in the house without disturbing the dogs or hurting my hearing.

There were clever ways mfgs of silencers adapted guns for their weapons. Since you couldnt have a threaded barrel or a flash hider/threaded muzzle brake, Gemtech used a air chuck type adapter that was permanent on the gun.
