Chances are, if something like that were to start happening, I won't be home, ever...
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

The problem is they won't take your shit. It will just be illegal to sell it or pass it down to your kids (according to Feinstein).

General Gage found out what happened the hard way.

We ran him off. Now days, I think you would have to do more than that too him or risk a better prepared, more determined enemy returning...but what do I know

I like the argument the morons on the left throw out of "Do you really think that the founders wanted people to have "assault weapons?"

Uhhh, yeah, and you would to, if you knew anything about why the second amendment was written.
How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

The ban won't be for retroactive gun sales. They would be nuts to even consider sending a Gestapo from house to house to collect lawfully acquired guns.

We didn't run him off. He came for the armaments of the militia which lead directly to Lexington and Concord.

Pretty simple really, he came for some of the colonists weapons and that ignited the Revolutionary war.

it wouldn't be the first time its happened. they've already done it and accomplished it at certain times. I think it'll be a tax on all sales so high people can't afford it. We all knew he was after guns though this just help speed it up a bit. Gun control has never helped much of anything. Ban the guns there will be shootings and stabbings will get to be more popular

I know enough LEOs and ATF agents who said that they would not do this for ANY amount of money.

That is correct, he did that in an attempt to confront the Boston Tea Party activist. Eventually, he was called back to England and replaced with a new general.

I am not here for the History lesson though I would say that we didn’t exactly "show him". I feel Concord and Lexington were a result of years of "mistreatment" by the crown, this act was just the final straw.

Anyways, to each his own, I hope that if this repeats itself that instead of just winning a couple of battles and allowing the General to leave, we go ahead and give him a proper good bye...

Oh yeah, the militia back then was the military...now days we have an actual military and we are just civilians. There are militias, but they are not supported as widely as they were back then. This would be a massive fight and I am not sure what the outcome would be.

We'll see about that when their mortgage is on the line. It's going to be interesting at any rate.

How about when their life is on the line?

With each house they attempt to "collect" from, the probability that they lose their lives approaches 1.
