Haha, I got a laugh out of it.

On topic though, does everyone agree that the Magpul BUIS are quality?

I need iron sights on my SBR, and they are available right next door to my work. Just wanting to see what the consensus is.

I have a flip up rear buis and fixed front on my ar pistol, not my favorite. This is what is going on my next build as buis. [ame]http://www.amazon.com/Front-Degree-Rapid-Transition-Backup/dp/B006X9DLQM/[/ame]

            if you have magnified optics.

So do you hold your gun crooked to shoot it or how does that work?

Yes you turn the gun 45 degrees and you can fire at a target close to you without having to worry about adjusting your scope or finding the target.

I like my Magpul BUIS. Simple and light. Though the front one wont work on a gas block rail you have to mount it on a freefloat.

I guess that depends on your abilities with iron sights. The purpose of it would be to shoot an animal or some target within 100 yards that's moving. It's very difficult to shoot an animal moving thats close to you with a high magnification scope, the iron sights give you a distinct advantage. You won't waste time trying to find the target in your optics as you're panning. They also make mounts to accept a microdot as well.

i like the idea of the 45 canted sites but dont care for them myself. im VERY comfortable with my irons and it will stay that way the majority of time unless i am deer hunting and then it will have a scope

I also like iron sights, however in some circumstances iron sights do not work. Such as low/no light, and with night vision. Those canted sights are dirt cheap, definitely a good solution if you hunt with your rifle and don't want to find out what it's like to miss a quick opportunity.

I personally have never shot a rifle with tritium front sight. However, I would really recommend a tritium rear sight as well. I have shot an 870 with a trijicon ghost ring and you need that rear illumination or you'll spend too much time trying to get your picture and you'll lose your target. Good choice on the red dot, they are great. My friend came over yesterday and I got a look through his Aimpoint T1 (the $600 sight the micro dot is based on). I did not see any difference in actual usability compared to the PA micro dot. The dot was the same size, same clarity, and suffered from the same corona effect in low light if the dot is too bright. He also owns the primary arms microdots and continues to buy them.
