Just curious.... is it the elite part or the douche part that makes you think like this? or the HK stroking in the dark?
    gotta be one of those
not that i don't like HK's, but like everyone else - I also can't afford them and try to find balance of value foremost
I don't think anyone needs an AR that costs that much, or an AR at all for that matter. I have several ARs I have built for $600-700 and they work just fine, but he said he wanted to buy one off the shelf and I posted a chart that showed not all ARs are created equal.

That is good considering I just paid $120 for a spikes stripped lower.

I have never seen an Eotech priced that low, where have you seen them for such low $$$?

I get them for that all the time, there was one on craigslist for $250 last week, and you can get them for $300 all day on arfcom.

My favorite build is my cheapest (besides my 4 Del-Ton cheaper than cheap guns) which I built from scratch; 16" Dissapator style build. CJ can tell you how fun that gun is to shoot.

I am a fan of the S&W offerings for someone not interested in building one. They have a few models that you may find near your liking. From there they are just grown man's legos, change what you want.

I will add this disclaimer though: I recently found that my S&W does not have the M4 cuts in the upper reciver itself. Out of thousands of rounds it never has given me any problems until I got into some handloads. Just something to think about and I am sure a dremel and 10 minutes would fix my issue.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

I would be careful shooting any non-cannelure crimped round in that rifle. A lot of precision rounds (most all of them) are not going to be crimped. Interestingly enough my M16A1 definitely does not have M4 ramps and I've never had a peep of problems out of it before. It could have been a weak crimp or something of that nature. But, if you get a bullet knocked into a case and it discharges it's going to blow that rifle up.
