How do you guys catalog your unserialized weapons?

Have them engraved.

My old man likes odd ball calibers that he likes to hunt with them so he has more than a few very old rifles. He took a couple overseas a few years ago and since you have to have serial numbers on weapons to get them into Africa he just had a gunsmith engrave numbers on them.
