And there was one with hippies showing off their.....get this...unarmed commune that was staffed by very old hippies who had a couple of teens. Their solution if someone comes to mess with them? "We're going to offer them food and water and hope they go away."

LOL, I remember that one, I laughed my asses off. Then there was like 1 kid which was a teenager, he was the renegade, said that he would offer them food and poison it, or if things really got terrible he might have to stab someone. When the judges at the end of their segment rated their survivability they gave them a 0 for defense, and they became offended and refused to take any advice on violence.

Believing the fact that no reality show is 100% real, this falls into that category. I can't believe for a second hearing loss was sustained when the rifle was fired. Seems like nothing more than scripted drama. 140dB with hearing protection isn't anything to cry about.

This. I was part of a filming of the show Capture Cowboys which was about exotic game capture and aired on History a while back. I couldnt believe how "fake" they wanted to make the whole process.

These shows are actually created to make fun of preppers. That's why you get the "quality" prepper starring in those shows.

I find it hilarious how much some of these dumbasses drop on prepping, only to be so insufficiently ready (and/or knowledgeable).

CJ if you did shoot inside a blind with me and we not be wearing hearing protection at the time you'd probably just get punched in the shoulder as I laugh my ass off with the ringing. I did once shoot my AK with the muzzle break without hearing protection.... It's loud and I can imagine that it would be louder inside a confined space but it's not something to cry and vomit over.


Also on the second video, what staging bullshit is this that he passes out like a damn drama movie... hahahahaha
