These are not steel core are they? Does anyone know off hand if Elm Fork allows steel core?
The 77gr are hollow point bullets, they are fine to shoot anywhere. They are expensive though. But, I can verify first hand they are extremely accurate rounds, they were more accurate than my best load when I happened to find half a box I had left. Needless to say I started making a new load.

As for steel core, or even FMJ, the only range I know of that allows them in the metroplex is Gibson's assholepost.

Haha, that's fine with me, bring me some empty cases and I'll load them with 77gr Sierra BTHP and 20.5gr Varget and you'll have yourself a Blackhills match load. Same load US troops use for long range- mk262 or some shit I don't remember.

Found some M193 but you have to buy $5K lol. For $435! Which who knows how long it'd take me to load that many!

Haha, I went through 5k bullets with phaux in a few months. Doesn't last as long as you would think. I wouldn't pay more than 360 for 5k m855.

The bullet trap lets yiu shoot fmj but its indoors in a tiny hallway and only 35 yards.

Is all black hills ammunition good for accuracy? If so I feel kind of bad for dumping 2k rounds last month on mindless shooting.

Their stuff is pretty consistently accurate, yes. Don't feel bad. They're probably making more as you sleep.

One day David I hope you understand how bragging 24/7 doesn't benefit you.

Not bragging. Just didn't know it was good ammo. Had I known it had good results as being accurate, I probably would have saved it for something else.

But I don't brag 24/7. Have to take a couple days off here and there.

haha, okay. Yes, I believe black hills is a us military contractor and they produce the high accuracy .223 loads for our troops, and that is the same load.
