So I'm at my inlaws for dinner tonight and her dad calls me outside. He hands me a box and said this is for u. Thank you for being an awesome dad and husband to his daughter. Only one of three of his kids who had healthcare or insurance etc. allowing her to stay home. He said u could sell or keep it.
I was shocked at this. Udder shock. I open this box and discover a Colt 1911A1 Model 80... I remember seeing these in his safe when I started dating my wife 12 years ago. He bought two of these back when colt said they were gunna stop making 1911's or something. Kept one bone stock for the value and other he jazzed up. He gave me his stock one. I'm so damned shocked at this awesome gift.
I'm sorry to muttle this up but I had to share. Never owned a colt. Now I need to get some advice on local gunsmiths for adding night sights, ambi safety, etc. Keller Fort Worth area.
