    Turn them in... Turn them all in!!!

    So I guess.... I will have to turn in my guns, at no compensation and I guess the government will come to my house to collect them.

    I guess I will have to be a sheep and comply...

    Just like they did in England, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand...

    And I guess we will see the gun crime soar like it did in those countries.

            I saw the other posting from DOHCTR but what article or news prompted this conclusion which, after reading, seems more imintet than before based off your wording....?

              You guys are overreacting a little bit. Yes it's an assault on our freedoms. Yes Obama said he wanted to re-institute the assault weapons ban. But, Feinstein is a moron, 0.20% of the bills she sponsors actually pass. Whatever she touches has a 99.8% chance of being rejected. The NRA-ILA will work hard to prevent any of this from occurring, as will the senate, I'm sure. I would be willing to bet quite a few democrat senators would not sign onto this. The last AWB caused a whole slew of democrat senators to get kicked the fuck out of office, I'm sure they remember that. We'll just have to keep a close eye on it. This isn't the first time they've tried this since the last one ended. The difference between this one, and the last one is now they know that a) it did nothing (violent gun crime increased during the period), b) if you vote for it, you'll get kicked out of office, c) there is evidence that the last one was a failure.

                Ah, so this is just a thread re-iterating the other thread? I was looking all over the news outlets looking for an update…

                Though I have thought about getting myself (household) an AR due to the fact I have no rifles...perhaps I should build one, just in case the prices go WAY up for some reason

                  haha, well it's a little late for that, you might get lucky. But the gun community is very aware of legislation, prices and availability will already have been affected.

                    I have seen a few AR's in the 7-950 range which is what I was seeing prior to the election. But if all else fails, I still have my hand guns and TWO swords...nothing crazier than some bald headed guy screaming and running at you with an English Broad sword
