MOA is a finer measurement than most MIL scopes unless you find one that adjusts in 1/20th mils.

Yeah, this scope is 1/4 MOA adjustments.

I wanted a FFP, and was thinking strongly on the 3.5-15x50 NF, but like I said. I got a good deal on this one. I would think that as long as you know your dope in MOA than it shouldn't be that big of a deal to dial. I'm planning on dialing with this scope. Why did you say that it makes sense if I'm NOT planning on it.

Because it's a pain in the ass to deal with windage/range/etc. when most all of the calculations and common knowledge revolves around MOA.

That's what mine is but mine has the NPR1 reticle to match. I believe a lot of the BR and F class guys use 1/8th adjustments.

I hear you about the common knowledge. The guy that I'll be shooting with has dealt with mildot his whole career I believe. So I'll have him there to coach me. Also, for the slower stuff. I have an app that i just put the info into and it tells me how many "clicks" to dial. Pretty handy. But probably not as quick.

Yes that was me, I have a 6-24x50 FFP Vortex. It's adjustments and features are spectacular (NV reticle), at the expensive of optical quality. Don't get me wrong, it's clearer than my old MKIV Leupold, but it's not NF/U.S. Optics clear. If you don't mind me asking, what did you spend on that NF?

No kidding especially with zero stop, to bad it's not high speed as well.

Needless to say I would have a NF mil scope with base instead of my Vortex if I could have found one even close to that. I have a 20moa canted 50mm Larue base, and if I'm not mistaken it was just about $300.

I ordered a 20 MOA Larue base and just found a set of NF rings for 120 shipped. Should be a good setup.

Thanks, and like I said. It was hard to pass up. The guy that had it couldn't even tell me if it had zero stop. He said that he mounted it on a scar (LOL) shot five rounds and then took it off because it was "too heavy". His loss, my gain I guess.
