Stupid deal on a gas-piston upper

I posted a link in another thread for Adams Arms A3 uppers for $577 from Midway, but the price has dropped, and they're now $545. If you're waiting to get one, now isn't a bad time.

Well I took the bait.

I'm kind of concerned about shooting 55 grain through a 1/7 barrel.

Since I'm being a cheap ass, I was trying to find some promotions, but nothing worked. Guess it was because it was already in clearance. Oh well, killer deal considering Rainer Arms is selling the AA conversions for $279, and they're out of stock.

Don't worry about that. Lots of people have shot a lot of 55 grain ammo through 1/7 twist barrels.

What I've always read is that 1:7 should be fine with 55 grain and up. Accuracy may suffer with anything lighter than that.

Damn you people, $700 later I finished browsing the clearance stuff on there lol. It only charged me $1 shipping which is cool, now I just have to figure out what I'm going to use my new Tomahawk for.
