I'm real close to the Shenandoah mountains. I have shelves of canned and dried goods next to the wife's car. I'd take the 91/30, M1a1, Beretta and 1911 since I have the most ammo for those guns. We're good to go. However, it really depends on the severity of the situation. If it's gridlocked on all roads then there's no use in being caught out in the open. Better off protecting the homestead.

Good thing for us up here is we have infinite supply of fresh water and game for food.

Well pack the animals and food, make a dash for the campsites up near the river. We can fish and hunt for food. Fresh runoff for water, and the trailer will be suitable living quarters in most environments. Long term solution involves a 1200 mile trek.. So that's a last resort. The buggy can also pack a load and sips gas, if we needed to find our way deeper into the woods that would be the work horse.
