I didn't see a Nova for $341. Maybe I missed it, I'll look again. I'm looking at this 870 though.

Yes, mainly for the wife but she handles 12g fine too. She shoots all our guns very well. Honestly, I like 20g and have 100% confidence in its ability as a home defense weapon.

Like you said, Winchester and Mossberg are great too. My best friend has a Mossberg with a lot of tactical accessories.

The Winchester unfortunately gets the short end of the stick as far as tacticool accessories.

I agree, the 1911's are solid guns. I know Kimber gets a bad rep but I've never had any problems with mine. Whatever gun you choose, I'd recommend a minimum of 500 rounds to check for reliability. I probably shot over 1000 rounds before I started carrying mine but I carried a Glock for a long time and the Kimber was more of a safe queen.

You have to get, "Bud's Price." Go give a few the bad touch first, though. Don't make this an impulse buy.

Do some research on the new Winchester pumps. They're not all that great.
20g is great, the only drawback is the relatively limited ammo selection.

Get a Stoeger Coach Gun and a Colt 1911.

If you get a SxS then practice reloading it under stress. If you get a pump, do the same. The skills are not interchangeable.

Considering my Winchester Defender is close to 20 years old I guess I wouldn't have any idea. Guess I might do some research later.

My bad. I thought they were called a GI milspec. Hell I have one. Should've known better. Last I checked they are far more expensive than when I bought mine. It has ruined me for other 1911's.

Yep, they made a big price jump, mine was 400 otd a few years back. I had a mil spec also, good gun too and still available, few more features than the gi but a bit more costly. Still pretty affordable compared to others though.

Gonna pull the trigger on a Sig C3 1911 with Crimson Trace Laser. I know the Ultra Two Tone would probably me a little easier to conceal but like the fact that the C3 has the laser & is a little cheaper in price compared to the Ultra.

I have a Kimber Ultra Carry (actually two but only one has the CT) with the Crimson Trace Grip and love it. What's the C3 running you?

Got it for $804 plus $25 for the transfer so Total of $829.00. I feel like it's a pretty good price for the pistol with the CT laser grip.
