Exactly. When instituting the Clinton ban, the proponents of that bill literally had no idea what it was they wanted to ban. That's why it ended up being mostly about ruining rifles in the name of aesthetics.

Sure have. Hell, I have even run over a pmag with a 3/4 ton truck, put it under the front wheels, and turned the steering wheel over and over again. It still works.

To me aluminum or steel magazines work just fine. They are plenty durable too and I have never had a problem with them. They cost less, work just as good, but are slightly less diesel-truck resistant. They also work in all my guns, unlike p-mags.

The fuck? I like the metal mags because they work in all of my firearms. If I was an M16/AR15 guy like 95% of this board then I would be gobbling magpul's cock just like you. The fact of the matter is that pmags dont work in a lot of guns. The problem is so apparent that they had to design a separate, more expensive magazine (the emag) to work in other firearms. They are a non-standard third party magazine.

PMags were the only mags that would run in my first AR, Rock River lower. Metal mags had to be forced in and ripped out, PMags worked flawlessly.

Keep in mind what Alex said is a completely rational statement as to why not have any pmags.

If you have multiple firearms that use NATO supplied magazines for the M4/M16 platform there wouldn't be a reason to have as many Pmags instead of the aluminum standard. I only have AR-15's... So Pmags would be a benefit for me. If you have SCARs FS2000's HK's etc. You wouldn't want a Pmag.

I hear ya man. I didn't even think about being able to use them in other guns. Like someone else said, all that I have is AR-15's so they are awesome and I use them in competition. Not like the aluminum ones aren't used in combat, I just feel better about dropping the pmags and using them again without an issue.
