I bought a Dan Wesson 1911 last weekend. It had been sitting for a couple years and I wana clean up a couple marks on the stainless. A friend told me Flitz is what he uses on all his stainless guns and its amazing. I went everywhere I could think of today trying to find it and no luck! Tried Academy, Autozone, Pepboys, Oreillys, and Wal-mart. Anyone know a place that has it? At this point Ill drive across DFW if I know they have it.

Yeah Flitz is the shit for polish. Cabela's carries their tumbler media, I don't know about their polish. As for stainless just remember that if you polish it, it will look chrome. If you want to keep it brushed you might want to consider steel wool or fine sand paper and keep with the grain."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin
"A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury." -Alexander Fraser Tytler

It is a CZ era gun. It's the CBOB. I'm not a huge fan of the bobtail frames but I couldn't pass this deal up. This is my first 1911 but I have been wanting one for a long time.Originally posted by Marisawe women are all irrational and emotional and insane...some just hide it better than others.
