  • Snap! SBR Form is back + two new 1911's

Well, this week has been really good. Monday I received my ATF Form 1 back, so I built out my lower and assembled my 9mm Dedicated SBR.

    DDLES dedicated 9mm lower
    RRA 7.5" 9mm upper
    "Tuff Force" free float tube
    HK416 sights
    Ace SOCOM long stock
    DPMS parts kit
    C-Products 32rnd magazines

All I have to say is this thing is TIGHT. Wow, I had to work the action about 100 times to get it decently functional. Lubed the crap out of it. Hopefully will break in even more once I eventually get to the range

Then last night, dropped by Live To Shoot after Jeff was very nice and let me come out pretty late in the evening to pick up my two new 1911's.

These are Umarex/Regent 1911's. Made in Turkey. I (so far) have a high respect for Turkish guns because (so far) the ones I own (Hatsan/Escort) have performed flawlessly and are 100% reliable.

The first is a R350CR. Hogue grips pre-installed, skeleton trigger, combat sights, front rail, commander style hammer, stainless steel barrel...probably other stuff...but this thing is optioned out. It also is very tight, going to take some breaking in as I can't even hit the slide release once it's locked back. Probably an extended slide release and mag release will be installed in the future.

The second is a R200S. Same as above except its the full 5 in 1911 and it's stainless steel. These are going to be my "hot" and "cold" carry pieces depending on the weather. I just need to get these and my SBR, and my tangfolio..and my 5.45x39 sbr to the range.

Dude, I am diggin that SBR. That dedicated 9mm lower is slick. Much better than a 5.56 lower with a mag block. Also, that ACE stock rounds out the package nicely. Nice to see something other than your typical Magpul stocks.

Post up your thoughts on that Regent 350 once you've had a chance to shoot it the range. Im looking for that extra push to pick up a 1911. After all this time, I still don't own one.

Enjoy your new range guns, I'm jealous.

            Outstanding.

I need to trade a AR15 lower out for a 9mm dedicated one so I can build one myself.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

You get first dibs on shooting it if we ever meet up again. I just don't have time anymore. New job, new house, gah...I miss it!
