      sandwiching would work great, I wonder what case that is? Are those pelican latches? They look like metal, I think SKB uses metal - doesn't pelican use polymer for their latches? I would need one slightly larger than that, but it's definitely a solution.

            Cabelas has quite a few Pelican cases in stock.

            I don't know if they have any of the smaller cases in stock though, I've never looked.

            I got to ask though...why do you want to break the gun all the way down to store it? Do you just really want a small case?

            I would think that the bigger pelican cases would be perfect with the gun all in one piece. Add the fact that you need a few other accessories it would be perfect.

              I have so much shit right now when I go shooting or hunting, the last thing I need is more unnecessary space. The smallest possible container is essential, I go hunting in a jeep wrangler, space is at a premium.

                    Or use the extra case space for stuff you have to pack anyway. I know what you mean though, lugging around cases is no fun. Especially since they don't roll real nice on mud, clay and other things in/on the ground.
