    Pelican cases

    So I'm looking to get a pelican case to hold my sbr stuff, and the problem I've run into is the selection of sizes available is pretty limited. For the size case I'd like to have I'm pretty much stuck with the 1495 laptop case. Every other case is either twice as tall, or f'in huge. So I took the interior dimensions and measured/cut a sheet of paper and see if I can fit all my crap inside. Well, I can just barely do it, but I don't have sights or optics (or a hand guard for that matter) on the 7.5" so I don't think I can make this work, which really sucks. Does anyone have any ideas or maybe another case manufacturer with other dimensions available? It seems like all the other knockoffs just copy pelicans sizes, they are all within a 1/4" of pelican's dimensions.

    You could always get one a little longer, and cut out some spaces for mags.

      That option isn't available unless I'm missing something. All the other cases are rifle sized, and they are like twice as long and deep which kind of makes the small case area pointless. It seems like either I make it fit in this case, or I give some gigantically oversized unnecessary case.

      Hell, I could make it work if I just found a case with the same width/length but just a few inches deeper, so I could put the uppers in vertically.

          I'm trying to avoid cases that deep, I just don't need such a deep case for the small amount of stuff I'd like to store. If I just had 1" on both sides I'd be fine. I *think* I can make it fit right now but I'd have to ditch my 7.5" upper which I really want to avoid.

            I feel ya, but the 1510 is a pretty manageable case, considering it's smaller than airline carry-on requirements.

              I might take you up on that if you get back in town sometime this decade I wish someone on here had a 1495 I could see. Are there any local retailers? ....that I could carry in two rifles to try and fit them in there...

                            hmm, this might be perfect. They seem to have a few different sizes pelican doesn't offer. Too bad I'm not saving any money though, geez.
