Typically it's an late 40's to early 50's FN commercial Mauser chambered in good ole 30-06.

Might take this one if my sling ever comes in and I get some load development done for the Accubonds. It's a custom rebarreled Rem 700 with Krieger barrel manners stock with DBM and a NightForce scope, chambered in 7mm-08 Ackley Improved.

Thanks, I want to say 20", its the SPS tactical. When and if the time comes to get another one I will probably not go with a heavy barrel ... lesson learned.

No joke, looks very nice. I think he has more knobs on his stove/oven than I do on my TV remote haha.

                      But seriously-

Kimber 8400 Chambered in 300wsm. I put a Leupold VX-III on her. I love it, but my shoulder doesn't. It is very light and I won it in a raffle.

Or if I am brush hunting/walking the lease to try and stalk a deer I will carry an old bolt gun that I don't mind getting beat up. I like this old Czech VZ24 for that-

Damn! In Arkansas it's to wooded. Normally 25-50 yards max 100. However in live in the desert now. I would probably need a better gun to shoot that distance. I have a mosberg 30-06

Shit, use a pistol. I target shoot at 1000 yards, longest shot I've killed an animal is 600yds.
