  • Model 70 Value?

I'm posting this up for a friend. The values I've found online are all over the place, so I was just curious what you guys thought.

    Make: Winchester
    Model: Model 70
    Caliber: 257 Roberts
    Action: Bolt
    Serial#: 6744 (Manufacture year, 1937)

Description. Good condition. Original finish, light scratches. Modified at some point (not by me) to fit a scope, and a bumper on the butt. Action is smooth and clean. I'll let the pictures tell the rest. Happy to answer any questions that will help.

Even though modified it should be around the 2500 at least.

There's a swanky used push-feed .270 at my local gun shop, but I don't need one right now, as I'm currently a full time college student, again.

If you really want a model 70 on the cheap. Buy a used 670A. Same gun, but cheaper stock and no floor mag.

You can find them for 250.00 all day long.

Not that I'm aware of, but I don't know the history of it that well.

Not near as much as a pre 64 yours will be crpf which is less desirable very good guns just not the right years or name on it. The value could be slightly higher if it's a Ted Williams version.

If it's stupid clean, $450-500. That is not a rare gun.

I'd buy the gun from him and shoot the hell out of it.
