Where to take my 1911 to get looked at/fixed.

Need to get my citadel fixed. where should I take it?

Well. That's a tough one. There was definitely something wrong with it when I bought it because it wouldn't break down. the slide was stuck. I shot 50rnds through and it was fine. I talked to bullet trap about it not breaking down and they said to tap it with a mallet. I eventually broke it down and got it cleaned up, and then took it to shoot. It fired two rounds before the guide rod stuck out and the gun jammed. I couldnt get the slide to slide back far enough to chamber the next round. Bullettrap said that it was something wrong with the recoil spring but they weren't sure and couldnt fix it because no warranty. It's really messed up. Very harsh spring sound when moving the slide, and I can't figure it out.

I can break it down, but the slide doesn't come off smoothly like all the youtube vids. It takes a good amount of force. And like I said, a problem is evident as soon as you pull the slide back.

If you knew there was something wrong with the gun, why on earth would you put 50 rounds through it?

Cleaned it as soon as I got it apart.

used at bullet trap. paid $350 if i remember correctly. 3 mags, hogue grips, case.

citadel has a one year warranty. no good there.
