I think what was happening before is I was anticipating a heavy recoil and causing it to hit low. The 5 lower shots I kept getting lower with every shot. I still need lots of practice, I still have 20 shells left from a 100 round box I bought when I got the gun and this is the first semiauto to shoot. Shot tons of revolvers but never a semi auto.

150 yards is pretty far for .22. 100 yards is about as far out as you want. 200 yards is pretty useless except for putting holes in paper. How well does your 552 with that scope hold zero? Since the barrel is separate from the receiver I've also figured it wouldn't do very well.

Yes! Only reason for that distance, is I was using my moms well house as a prop. Their yard is full of stickers so I Diddent want to lay down. It might sound crazy, but I cannot remember the last time the scope was dialed in. I would say at least 4-5 yrs. My dad passed away over 3 1/2 years ago, and he was the last to mess with it. Seems it is a little high though. Need a better scope, as this is a $20 Walmart 4x20 tasco special.

I've got my AMT 10\22 zero'd at a 100 yards with a tasco 6-24. NO it doesn't need to be dialed in that far out, yes the scope is overkill, and it puts it on steel consistently at that yardage on fairly calm days. I have a cheap laser on it set at about 40 yards for varmints in the yard. We've consistently shot at 100 & 200 yards on steel, and have fairly consistently lobbed some out at 300 lol.

Granted, a .22 isn't typically shot past 100 but the bullet doesn't magically drop out of the air and hit the ground at 100 yards. Have any if you looked at bullseye competitions? They shoot .45acp @ 50 yards.

What does that have to do with the fact that this guy can't estimate yardage, and almost everyone else has given only the most arbitrary details of what they can do with their .22?

Well for your information, my brother measured it off for me, and it is 396 ft from where I was standing to the target. Which is 132 yards. Ok so I was off, being that I was shooting at a slight decline, my assumption was off.

Considering that there is almost 10 inches of drop between ~125y and ~150y with most .22lr ammo, I'd say that it might be zeroed for 150y. LOL!
