If I get a .22 that doesn't cycle the cheapest crap I can find I sell it. Having a .22 that won't cycle bulk ammo is kind of pointless in my opinion.

I think the problem is the long vertical portion of the mag. Bring it over and we can polish/smooth that ramp. Then put some graphite lube in the mags and give it a whirl.

Indeed. I would like to polish the heck out of the feed ramp and play around with the mags a bit. Maybe different ammo will help as well. It seems like tuning 22 conversions to get them to run right is not at all abnormal.

Good to know, thanks for the heads up. I was going to make a trip up there in the next few weeks to check them out.

Cheaper than dirt in McKinney has a good selection of guns. They actually have all of their guns on the wall in gladd cases with prices clearly marked.

Some people will say the're too expensive blah blah blah....I have seen lower prices on certain guns elsewhere but they are not way over priced.

You'll be happy with the selection.

Cabelas also has a good selection with good prices as well.

Cabelas had good prices. They have the buying power that the one off gun stores don't.

Their used gun cabinets sometimes have gems. They also discount the prices if you ask. You don't have to pay the sticker price on their used guns.

Bought mine from Bachman for like $1800 or something out the door (I have the little factory scope on mine that I guess they stopped making).

Paid $2300 with free shipping and no sales tax or FFL fee from Buds.

I think I paid $750 for my 5.45 arsenal from friend slightly used

I see tham at Bachman for around $600

I have started buying most of my guns online because of better deals nowadays. If I need something simple though I will go to Bachman. Shaun (the owner and son of O. L. Nelms) is a good guy and will randomly give you free magazines, guns at cost, etc (he bullshitted with me about the Rolls Royce one day and then gave me a free Desert Eagle mag, lol).

I also like Jackson Armory. They tend to have mostly high-end stuff and the staff actually knows something about guns.

I bought my Ruger Lite from them. They were high, but $10 cheaper than Cabelas - and they actually had one.

Bachman in Mesquite is pretty good, Cabelas is ok and occasionally has a good deal. If you know you want these guns and do not need to play around with it before you purchase just buy one online get it shipped to one of the FFL guys on this site.

It's odd different people seem to have different experiences at gun shops. I didn't care much for the Bullet Trap but like Gunmaster. I think it can have a lot to do with the individual sales person that you interact with. I usually check out Gunmaster for their used selection. But, I do have one or two preferred sales people there and one or two that I've stayed away from. The good ones have accepted a lower price when I've made an offer.
Damn, I think Kent might have been one of the ones I preferred.

Bullet Trap is all about the sales person you get. I know 2 of them I like, both older gentlemen. The younger ones annoy me every time.

Have you considered the upcoming market hall gun show?
