Build your own. Much cheaper and better looking using Magpul. This is the route I'll be going when I'm ready. Pg. 9 shows some updated and finished pics with the finger rest. Me personally, I would have painted part of the finger rest black to blend in with the black on the lower.

And the design I had in mind was pretty much exactly what this guy came up with. Nice to see that my idea will work. Now, where's my dremel? Also, the notching of the buffer tube is exactly what I was thinking would work best.

Roger that. I've wanted a slide fire for some time now, but the only two options being the less expensive SSAR and the more expensive (but better looking) Fostech wasn't cutting it. I found that ARFCOM thread a while back and read all pages. The OP has done a really nice job, the only part I'll need to refresh my memory is the the rear detent/takedown. I don't remember the tap used to thread the hole, so I'll have to go back and reread parts of the thread. I'm thinking about doing this on my Form 4 lower I am waiting on if I ever get it back.

The new one is nicer..but I honestly think the DIY looks better. The slidefire still looks cheaply made

The Bumpski/Defendar15 is a really high quality piece. I've seen it in person, and if you buy a slidefire over that product you're a fool.
