It ain't THAT radioactive. Probably hear the same rumors that it'll set off TSA radioactive detectors, which is false as well. I've taken many a trip with my Trijicon sights on my handgun and my friend has taken 4 trips that I'm aware of with his AR and mounted ACOG without an issue, either.

They are really great sights - the holy grail of clarity. I bash the shit out of everything for the fun of it, but everything Trijicon makes is optically perfect in my opinion. I bought a 4x ACOG off craigslist for $400 8 months ago, there are good deals out there if you look for them.
