Why do people still go to Gun Shows?

I go for the beef jerky, knife sharpening by that hot chick. And buying/selling stuff without, "ze paperzz".

That and you get to roam around with your weapons on display like the old western days, well they are inspected and plastic tied by the gustapo before you walk in.

I've snatched up some great deals at gun shows. Just have to know what to look for.

I was able to pick up a S&W M&Pc for a great price from Viking Armory this weekend. I was also able to find my SA XDm there for a decent price a few years ago when they were still new and hard to find. It's also a good place to try out a variety of holsters.

I bought my Gen 3 G27 for $420 brand new at a Gun Show. Look around, bring cash, and DFWM-ball the shit outta everyone you want to spend money with.

My buddy was up there this past weekend working our table, and said the guy behind him was selling SAA stuff for triple the cost, when the msrp is not even double. But people bought from the guy, which just sad. The guy also didn't know shit about guns from what my buddy said, just had alot of start up money and is trying it out.
We had some bcgs priced at the same price you could get them online, so it was a matter of did you want to pay tax or pay shipping, and there were some items we sell below online pricing if we can. The demand on firearms, parts, and accessories has allowed a lot of businesses to get greedy, even more so at gun shows.
I'm really tired of seeing chinese knock off shit all over the place. There is one guy there that tried to get me to tell his customer that his laser was "the real deal" from a much more expensive laser sight when the customer informed him that it was broken and didn't mount correctly and wanted a refund. I simply told the customer don't buy from people like him and he won't have this issue. As long as there are uninformed/stupid people, they will keep buying this crap.
I hope that maybe some day, gun shows will return to the way it was, but I doubt it ever will. Times have changed, and there isn't much you can do about it. I keep hoping maybe some new guys like me will be able to shift things from being priced retardedly high to being more reasonable, but everyone seems to be on the "if they will pay it, I'll charge them for it" mindset.

I went to see if I could score a 1911 I have been wanting for any cheaper than I could from gunbroker. I found the same pistol at 5 different tables and the prices were at minimum $100 more and they were not coming off of it any. S.A.W. was the worst and they were $200 more than I bought it for on my phone as I walked out the door. Also, my wife was one of the hot ones there and she was getting eye fucked left and right.

ALSO!!!! pretty damn sure I saw a serial killer there. If anyone was there near closing on Saturday and you saw this guy you will immediately know what and who I am talking about.

Gun shows make sense if you really know what you're doing. You have to know a wide variety of gun pricing and knowledge to pick out a weapon which is a good price. It's too difficult to pick one gun and look for a good price on it. You have to know a good deal when you see one and pick it up. It's also a good place to go for really oddball stuff, like HK specific parts and furniture, etc. There are good deals out there, you just need to know what they are.
