Anyone have a Marlin 1895 lever action .45-70?

I really like the looks of the Marlin 1895 lever action and was wondering if anyone had one how do they like it? I have no "real" purpose for one other than just wanting to have it . I've shot a .45-70 single shot before, which I have thought about getting, but I would rather have one that held more rounds.

I enjoyed mine, but it was not exactly a work of art. The older guns are much better built.

my father just showed me a 1893 Marlin lever action of some sort that was one of his fathers guns he said I will get when he passes

I have one in .450 marlin and it serves no purpose but to make big bangs and put smiles on my face when i let someone else shoot it. Got it used off of here and need to fix rear sight after an incident in the safe. Buy used if you can. Not worth full price new as there is no real practical use for it unless you get a really good pad for the shoulder. Shot 5 rounds last friday and my shoulder is still sore
