If you're approached by the game warden, I know to lay the guns down....should we unload or just set them down? What about your concealed carry, do we leave it concealed and just give him the CHL along with the other licenses?
You can lay your shotgun down. I choose not to get scratches on mine...lol. And if you are hunting on a lease out in the country, why would a Game Warden or any other LEO care about a CHL? Heck, wear it on your side if you want to as long as the lease rules don't prohibit it.

Got talked into opening day football in Austin this yr. luckily my future father inlaw has about 200 acres out West a bit, that's where I'll be the rest of the season.
You guys enjoy opening weekend. I'll be going next weekend to avoid all the rednecks.

There were a bunch of new trucks parked on the corners of a small field, in a highly populated industrial area that backs up to a residential neighborhood, on my way into work this morning. There were several guys in full gear, tromping around the edges of the super short grass field, and as I drove by one bird flew up and a dad and his 5yr old son swung their barrels around in my direction towards where the bird was flying. Considering they were only ten yards away from my car, it had me wondering how I would explain that one to my insurance, had they squeezed a finger, lol.
