I think that they make valid points. I would like to have seen how a metal framed pistol would have held up. And if it didn't break, what the BPA would have suffered as a result of the gun not "giving". I believe that we need mythbusters to get involved.

I'd like to know the circumstances of the fall...and had it not failed first would there be a latent failure waiting to happen. Could happen to both Polymer and metal

That being said, I really hope HK fixes/replaces that gun for the agency. Even I don't trust those HKP2000 series pistols, and I am a self-proclaimed HK nutswinger. They are like the Sig pro series of pistols to the HK lineup.
