Also Id pass on the bodyguard. I know that the idea of having a factory laser on it could be appealing but the on/off button is in a horrible spot on those. Besides if you needed the gun, 99.9% of the time you wouldnt turn it on

I've shot Taurus's and they shoot fine, plus they have a lifetime warranty on the gun (Not just to the original purchaser).

You said "they work", but they don't. You can buy a J frame .38+p for sub $400. Why buy a compromise?

Just did a search on J Frame problems, OMG what a piece junk, over 10,000 hits.
Now being realistic, if someone gets mad at something they post the crap everywhere.
Ive personally never seen a J frame or a Taurus fail. Ive seen a plenty of guns fail, most due to ammo or owners neglecting the guns.
Lets do a test. If your so confident a Taurus will fail, let get a Taurus, load her up and allow someone to pull the trigger till she's dry at your car. I'll have you sign all the liability waivers and I have a piece of land we can do it on.
Im very confident your vehicle will have 5 or 6 hole in it(depending if its a 5 or 6 shot)
No takers? Didnt think so

its a no brainer that S&W makes a better revolver, but i havent ever seen a taurus or smithy break if used with the ammo intendedMay God give us strength and courage in the time of our darkest hours.

Im not going to respond to your ridiculous assertion that I should allow someone to shoot my car with a Taurus revolver.
If you buy a .38 j frame, and a .38 taurus, I will bet that in the sample size of one, the taurus will turn into a paperweight faster than the smith.

Older Tauruses are decent guns in their own right, they were owned by the same corporation and used the same designs as S&W. The craftsmanship of the S&W were still better than that of the Taurus, and in present day there is just no comparison. Sorry, if I'm trusting my life to something, it had better be a sure thing.
If you're down to only revolvers, take your time to check out the J frame Smiths and the Ruger LCR. Stock for stock I prefer the LCR, it has a cleaner and lighter trigger IMHO. But my buddy just got his airweight back from a gunsmith locally and all I can say about the trigger is wow. Its still plenty heavy enough to be completely safe, but it is so smooth and creep-free! I know they make a spring kit for the J frames as well, but he really did a great job on cleaning the break of this thing. Single action is still heavier than most and I didn't expect otherwise, but when you shoot it, the break feels like cracking glass. It really is awesome. Last I looked the Smiths were ~$50 more than the Ruger. They also both make a 357 variant, but if you were complaining about how much the snubby 38 sucks to shoot, I won't even suggest it.

I am another Apex drop in kit satisfied customer. With the help of YouTube, the kit took me 15 minutes.Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

My dad gave me a 6" Taurus Falcon .38 special last year that we found in the hoarder house he bought. It was buried in trash, covered with rat shit, had significant surface rust and generally looked a lot like something you would find in a swamp or in a river after several years. After a very basic quick cleaning of it to make sure the parts actually worked....I fired it a few times....well actually more like thru a box of 50. Even as nasty looking as it was...it NEVER failed to put a hole in the target. At this point I've cleaned it up as good as its gonna get...the only way to make it look good from all the corrosion now is to get it re-plated. I've put several hundred rounds (standard FMJ, JHP, and even a few +P) thru it and its never failed...not even once. If not for the long 6" barrel I would have no problem trusting it for CCW.

i dont need a 357. a 38 is plenty to make someone stop and take notice. I find that when facing stupid assholes, they tend to follow what the loudest one does. when the loudest one has a wheel gun aimed at his head and he can see the little hollowpoints looking at him, he tends to quiet down.May God give us strength and courage in the time of our darkest hours.
