Anyone else gonna be up in a tree tomorrow? I'm gonna either leave tonight or get up early and head out, hopefully I'll at least see something.

Had a young one come in that had just lost its spots. Passed on it. another doe came in to about 10 yards, but she needed to come forward another 20 feet for a shot. She knew something was up and came under my stand and blew
Its one of the guys i let hunt on me stand and its small. You cant turn with out making a ton of noise so your shot lanes are very limited.
Had a couple more does later on start to come in, but they already knew something was up. They just turned and went the other way. I dont know what they smelled, but i try and play the wind.Comment

Bow hunting. It takes everything to the next level. Cross bow is easy, just range limited.Comment

I'd be interested in trying my hand at bow hunting but that isn't a hobby you can test out cheaply
Plus our lease prob isn't the best for bow hunting due to the lay out but I plan to do some scoping next time I'm there there's a bunch of tree area that might be ok for bow we shall seeComment

The deer are there its getting the right shot thats hard. Then actually making it.
Ive got a 2010 hoyt alphamax, sword twilight hunter sight, tightspot quiver, gold tip xt 5575's with 125gr slicktrick broadheads.
Using a scotts mongoose release.
You can get a decent bow set up used for 400-600Comment

Plus its hard to hide in the wide open. Your just 17 feet up.
A ground blind will work as well. Ive had deer walk by one of mine in turkey season.
They knew something was in there, but didnt know what it was.Comment

I can think of two places that I could prob put a tree stand and see deer. I'm going to scope it out and see what it looks like
Bad part about a tree stand is I can't lean back in my office chair with the Coleman heater going and take a nap like I do in my ground stand hahahaComment

Thats what makes it harder, but you get to hunt out while its nice for a while.
Just think of me when its under 32 degree's and im in my tree freezing my balls off.
Ill be praying for rifle season and my mr buddy heater and a ground blind.Comment

Imho i stick with hoyt, mathews, pse(the higherend stuff), elite.
Thats just me. I know these bows are quality. The elites have a transferable warranty.
All the others only have a warranty if you buy it new.Comment
